HR-related questions

Giftedness is characterized by a high IQ (130 or above), strong drive and creativity. Our consultants combine exceptional analytical capabilities with integrity, high quality standards and a genuine commitment to ensuring that every trajectory works in real life. They quickly grasp complex contexts, detect patterns that often remain unnoticed and translate these into solutions that are both well-founded and practically applicable.

For our clients, this makes the difference between “building something” and “building something that works sustainably.” Their productivity is typically two to three times higher, enabling swift action and tangible progress. This is also why our assignments are often completed faster than initially estimated.

There are many misconceptions around this. A strong drive to solve problems can sometimes be misinterpreted as wanting to take over or undermine someone else’s role. The opposite is true. Our consultants operate from the organization’s best interest and actively seek collaboration.

When different views exist on direction or priorities, they engage in dialogue to fully understand all perspectives. They see such conversations as constructive and necessary to integrate the existing way of working with the optimizations required. The intention is always to strengthen, never to replace. Moreover, our consultants are typically seeking long-term roles themselves; once the assignment is completed, they move on.

That is a common myth. Our consultants are explicitly screened for social intelligence and consistently score above average. This translates into a strong understanding of group dynamics, the ability to adapt to different stakeholders and the skill to communicate clearly and context-sensitively.

They create buy-in, even in sensitive or politically complex environments. Some clients may not initially be used to such clarity and honesty, but quickly experience the relief of direct, transparent and respectful communication.

Our drive does not mean we always accelerate. On the contrary, in challenging or high-pressure contexts, we often slow down deliberately. This creates space to surface human dynamics, tensions and underlying concerns, precisely what is needed to enable sustainable acceleration later on.

We continuously keep workability in focus and aim to relieve and support our clients’ teams. By creating clarity, structuring complexity and aligning expectations, we generate both calm and forward momentum.

CEO-focused questions

Our vision and ambition were formally recognized and supported in 2025 by the King Baudouin Foundation, which acknowledges the importance of gifted talent for organizations navigating structural talent scarcity and digital transformation.

This external recognition confirms that our approach is relevant, forward-looking and societally meaningful. Our clients can attest to this as well, and we would be pleased to connect you with them upon request.

At Bright Lights, we focus on experienced professionals with at least 5 years of work experience. We seek talents who have developed their expertise and are ready to apply their knowledge and skills to challenging, impactful projects. As a junior, this might not be the right place for you, but keep developing – perhaps we can collaborate in the future!

A highly gifted person, for us, is someone who is a fast and exceptionally sharp thinker capable of handling complex issues. Naturally autonomous, curious, and driven, with exceptional observational skills. We welcome highly gifted talents who know themselves well, both in terms of their strengths and challenges. The key is recognizing your own pitfalls and developing strategies to deal with them. This means you have integrated your giftedness and can function in a mature way within a team and in challenging situations.

An IQ test measures your intelligence quotient, but it does not address other aspects of giftedness. Additionally, the test is just a snapshot, with various factors influencing the result. In other words, it only provides a minimum score. Of course, it is helpful if you can present a score above 130, but we also look at your societal achievements and career. So, no, you do not need to present an IQ test to apply. Your competencies will be assessed in other ways during our comprehensive selection process.

At Bright Lights, we value creativity and diversity in thinking, but we do not seek individuals who isolate themselves from the team or the organization. Our culture is about building together, and we expect everyone to strike a balance between individuality and the ability to collaborate well in a flexible team environment.

We are looking for people who are willing to travel and flexible with their work location. Mobility is important because our assignments often take place at different client locations. Commuting should therefore not be an obstacle for you.

Stability and commitment are essential for us. We invest in long-term collaborations and expect the same from our talents. If you frequently change jobs without a clear reason, it might not align with our vision. We are looking for professionals who want to commit for the long term and truly make a difference.

In addition to your technical or intellectual expertise, we highly value social and emotional skills. We seek people who work well in teams, are open to feedback, and actively contribute to a positive team dynamic. Anti-social behavior or a lack of empathy signals that someone might not be a good fit for our culture.
